Saadia Faruqi was born in Pakistan and moved to the United States when she was 22 years old. She is a Pakistani American writer and interfaith activist. She writes the popular early-reader series Yasmin and Ali the Great, as well as middle-grade novels such as The Strongest Heart, A Thousand Questions, Yusuf Azeem Is Not a Hero, and The Partition Project.
