When one last wheel is missing, Pete comes up with a clever solution-sharing a wheel from his own scooter. Once the ship is fixed and the mission is complete, Pete and Marty celebrate with a snack. With its short, simple sentences and dialogue, and plenty of exclamation points, this book is an engaging choice for early readers practicing inflection and expression. The vibrant colors and Pete's signature laid-back style will be familiar to readers. While scientific accuracy is sacrificed, the story remains an imaginative read that will delight young fans. VERDICT A recommended purchase for libraries where Pete the Cat is popular and early readers circulate widely.
