Monsters delight in taking a flying broomstick out for a spin on a magical Halloween night. Their toothy smiles and camaraderie will woo children to join in on their spooky fun to the tune of "The Wheels on the Bus." A witch starts out the soaring romp with a "hee hee hee," all through the town. The witch is followed by a mummy, a werewolf, a ghost, and vampire, each vocalizing their delight as they fly through the town on the broomstick. Bright Halloween colors, whimsical illustrations, and cleverly shaped pages bring depth and charm to each spread. VERDICT An engaging way to introduce the littlest readers to All Hallows' Eve.—Rita Christensen
