PreS-K-Sesame Street turns 50 this year, and in celebration, the lyrics to the catchy theme song have been illustrated by a variety of award-winning children's artists in a multitude of styles. A painted spread follows another in colored pencil, followed by mixed media and digital images. Familiar Sesame Street friends appear alongside a diverse cast of characters. The works by Sean Qualls and Selina Alko are absolutely beautiful, but there are no weak illustrations in this piece. From the cover art by Christian Robinson to the end pages by Ziyue Chen, the illustrations are all phenomenal. The artwork captures the wonder, beauty, and diversity that make the show such an enduring favorite. Short illustrator biographies appear at the very end. VERDICT A fun book to pore over and, of course, sing along to with young fans of the show.-Kelly Roth, Bartow County Public Library, Cartersville, GA
