Deborah Kerbel

Deborah Kerbel is the critically acclaimed, award-winning author of over thirty books for young people of all ages. Her work has been translated into French, Korean, Turkish, German, and Chinese. Her titles include the wordless picture book Whirl and the middle grade novels Feathered, Under the Moon (shortlisted for the Governor General’s Literary Award), and Fred and Marjorie: A Doctor, a Dog, and the Discovery of Insulin (a Junior Library Guild gold standard selection). Deborah was born in London, England, and raised in Toronto, where she now lives with her family and a rescue schnoodle named Freddie.
