Bookelicious inspires kids to discover the joy of reading by pairing them with books they LOVE! uses a gamified approach to match readers with a curated collection of topic-specific, high-quality, age-appropriate books at the right level of difficulty. Our site makes recommended books easily accessible by offering them for sale as well as linking to local libraries. We promote literacy by encouraging children to feed their read.

Bookelicious has also developed special tools for teachers, students and parents/caregivers that encourage deep engagement with the site and track reading progress, including fun, book-themed games and activities. This level of home-school integration has become even more vital as schools incorporate distance learning into their programs. We also offer special collections that celebrate diversity and promote social-emotional learning, to meet the needs of educators and families.

A little bit about the job!

As Bookelicious continues to grow, so does our need for smart, energetic, relationship-oriented Sales Reps with a track record of proven sales success. We are searching for someone who wants to work the entire sales cycle and close high-dollar contracts. The ideal candidate takes pride in delivering out-of-the-box solutions to real-world business problems, has a passion for selling complex technologies, thrives in a fast-paced collaborative environment, and is eager to win every partnership.

In this highly visible role, you will collaborate with a team of Sales All-Stars to schedule meetings with potential customers and source new leads using a variety of sales tools and techniques to maximize your productivity through streamlined processes with active management, coaching, and in the moment feedback. On any given day, week or month you will:

  • Represent our company’s products and services, starting with a deep and comprehensive understanding, and following through with consumer research to identify how our solutions meet needs
  • Identify appropriate prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycles to close new business.
  • Meet weekly, monthly, and annual sales quotas through the successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure exceptional service and identification of potential new sales opportunities.
  • Prepare professional, complete, concise and accurate reports, proposals, booking packages, and other documentation are required for executive-level presentations.
  • Coordinate with other members of the sales team to ensure company quotas and standards are being met, performing market research and regular competitor monitoring.

  • You have a strong track record in high volume, high performance sales and deliver on revenue targets (bonus points if you have experience selling in the Education Technology Space)!
  • You are an expert in CRM systems and other sales tools and use them as a driving force to understand metrics, define priorities, and make strategic decisions (more bonus points if you’re a Salesforce pro)!
  • You live for the rush of closing deals and enjoy celebrating the wins (big and small).
  • You understand what makes people tick and love delivering out-of-the-box solutions that make a difference.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are a pro at meeting and exceeding KPI’s.
  • You are willing to learn and approach every situation and person, including team members and customers, with empathy.
  • You have the ability to think through long-term strategies, pay attention to small changes and marketplace trends, and strong attention to detail to catch minor issues before they turn into big problems.
  • You possess the startup mentality, welcome ambiguity, and can adapt to changes as they arise.
