PreS-Gr 1--A simple look-and-find easy reader series with a sports twist for those in need of a fun challenge. Each title is structured the same way, with kids being asked to spot something on the player or field, followed by a description of the item they were meant to find. Filled with high-frequency sight words that help beginning readers understand the more unfamiliar sports terms, these are excellent easy readers. Large, full-color photographs include both male and female players. While the books are not necessarily unique, they are wonderfully enjoyable reads that will further ignite a love of athletics. VERDICT A great easy reader series, highly recommended for every collection.
