A little bit about us!

Bookelicious inspires kids to discover the joy of reading by pairing them with books they LOVE! Bookelicious.com uses a gamified approach to match readers with a curated collection of topic-specific, high-quality, age-appropriate books at the right level of difficulty. Our site makes recommended books easily accessible by offering them for sale as well as linking to local libraries. We promote literacy by encouraging children to feed their read.

Our company has also developed special tools for teachers, students and parents/caregivers that encourage deep engagement with the site and track reading progress, including fun, book-themed games and activities. This level of home-school integration has become even more vital as schools incorporate distance learning into their programs. We also offer special collections that celebrate diversity and promote social-emotional learning, to meet the needs of educators and families.

A little bit about the job!

As we continue expanding, so does our need for a talented and experienced Order Fulfillment Specialist. We need a self-motivated professional who is meticulous and has strong organization and communication abilities. The successful candidate will receive and process large orders by working directly with publishers and ensuring successful delivery of books to schools. This position is primarily computer based and will require proficient Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills.  This is a remote position, but this person must be located in either southwest Virginia or northwest North Carolina.

As our first-ever Order Fulfillment Specialist, we can assure you that no workday will be the same. On any given day, week, or month you will be expected to:

  • Receive orders from schools and enter them into our inventory system.

  • Organize and place orders with publishers.

  • Submit packing and fulfillment information to our warehouse partner.

  • Ensure successful delivery of books to the schools.

  • Optimize processes and space utilization.

  • Properly maintain records as required by management in the appropriate warehouse information system.

  • Address any customer service issues related to accurate delivery of books.

  • Work closely with the fulfillment team to ensure orders and shipments are handled in a timely manner.

  • Travel is estimated to be less than 10% annually.

We’re excited about you because…

  • You possess the “startup” mentality, welcome ambiguity, and can adapt to changes as they arise.

  • You have a deep understanding of project management and the ordering process.

  • You feel comfortable working in a remote environment and consider yourself a driven self-starter.

  • You have a demonstrated proficiency in Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel, and are comfortable presenting and organizing information.

  • You are a detail-oriented worker and consider yourself an expert in establishing organizational procedures.

  • Although not required, previous experience in inventory management is a plus.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher education preferred.
