PreS-Gr 2--The citizens of Mouseopolis are outraged because the Big Cheese was stolen right from under their noses. Following a trail of cheese crumbs, Peter Parmesan puts on his cape and mask and sniffs out the hiding place of the four rodent thieves. The mayor's demands and the media reports add detail and drama to the story. The artwork contains flaps, peek-through holes, and a few nods to Batman. Older children will enjoy the cheese puns scattered through the book. The story ends with a question that could be answered in a sequel.
