A brief but tasty morsel.

School Library Journal

PreS-Gr 2--The citizens of Mouseopolis are outraged because the Big Cheese was stolen right from under their noses. Following a trail of cheese crumbs, Peter Parmesan puts on his cape and mask and sniffs out the hiding place of the four rodent thieves. The mayor's demands and the media reports add detail and drama to the story. The artwork contains flaps, peek-through holes, and a few nods to Batman. Older children will enjoy the cheese puns scattered through the book. The story ends with a question that could be answered in a sequel. VERDICT This book is a great choice for young children who love superheroes and silly, action-packed stories.--Tanya Boudreau, Cold Lake P.L., Alta.

M N Tahl
M. N. Tahl has been a cheese-lover for as long as she can remember. She has fond memories of her grandma teaching her how to obtain extra portions of cheese with surreptitious cunning. One of Tahl's favorite vacations was spent in Italy, waiting for the local "mozzarella man" to bring his cheese in a bucket. This delicacy could only be eaten while standing in the sea, due to extreme juiciness. Tahl lives in the perfectly situated village of Cheddar, England.
