My First Baseball Book

In one of four books kicking off the First Sports series, crisp photographs (taken from stock image sources) introduce the gear, players, and locations that are key to the game of baseball (basketball, soccer, and football titles are available simultaneously). Following some static images of a baseball, bat, glove, and cleats, the images become more action-oriented with young players seen pitching, catching, batting, and blowing chewing-gum bubbles in the dugout. Each item or player is clearly labeled in a script that wouldn't look out of place on a Little League jersey. A quick, bare-bones primer for readers not quite old enough to join in America's pastime just yet. Up to age 2. (Apr.)
