Cheerful illustrations rendered in pleasant, soothing tones showcase a diverse extended family celebrating Rosh Hashanah, gentle smiles ever present. Simple couplets, most comprised of only two words per line, are easy to read out loud and neatly suit a baby's attention span. Readers looking for more of an explanation of what Rosh Hashanah means and why it is celebrated may find this book overly simple; but for those looking to share holiday books with babies and toddlers, this book is a lovely way to introduce the holiday as a time for family to come together to eat, play, and celebrate.
