A community is where we come together to work, play, and get to know each other. It is a vibrant environment filled with the love and complexity that is our humanity. We share tender moments with those we love and those moments spill into our streets as we call for justice and peace. As we work together, we use our individual stories to build a stronger community where we are rooted in love, joy, and laughter.

I am a bilingual, immigrant, unapologetically Queer, social justice advocate, poet, and educator. I’ve taught kindergarten the last 8 years and have recently began my journey as an abolitionist teacher. I create classrooms and educational settings that centers children, their joy and existence. My experience and upbringing as an immigrant and Queer Person of Color drives my instruction and desire for inclusivity, representation, and advocacy in the classroom. It is our duty as educators to allow children to find their voice and bring them in a co-conspirators in their educational journey.
