Bookelicious & Outside Funding
Federal funds are available for schools to use in order to help students succeed academically but accessing these funds isn’t always straightforward. Each funding source has different requirements for how the funds can be used, as well as different criteria for who is qualified to receive the funds.

ESSER Funds

Classroom Events
One thing guaranteed to get kids excited about reading is meeting the author of a book they’ve read in class. Bookelicious and Candlewick Press have partnered to create My First Book Club, which brings authors into the classroom to discuss some of their best books.
School-Wide Events
During in-person school visits, Bookelicious book-joy spreader John Schu will book talk must-read titles, share what it means to be a reader and a writer, discuss how stories can change us, inspire us, connect us to others, answer our deepest questions, and help us heal. These events are an amazing way to show students the joy of books and reading.

Library & Book Room Refresh Collections
Our curators have created a wide variety of book collections that you can pick and choose from to give students and teachers exciting book options in the classroom and library. All of the books in our collection have their BISAC codes attached so that you can easily ensure that any collection you choose will work with any relevant state laws.
Topic Specific Book Collections
We offer a variety of 10-, 20-, and 30-book collections that can be used as bite-sized revamps on specific topics important to educators. We currently offer collections on kindness and empathy, Latín heritage, and books that are Spanish/bi-lingual.
