The rhyming text of this lovely book describes a child's dream of traveling across the Arctic. On his nighttime journey, the child sees many wondrous sites, including many animals, a beautiful night sky, snowy mountains, and the Northern Lights. Arctic animals like the shrew, narwhal, grizzly bear, and snowy owl are all illustrated in vibrant colors against an inky black background. The poetic text perfectly matches the flowing tone of the pictures.
