Fictional character Juno Valentine introduces young readers to past and present "sheroes," beginning with Rosie the Riveter and ending with the reader, reminding all young girls that they can change the world. The text includes athletes Billie Jean King and Megan Rapinoe, politician Shirley Chisholm, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, entertainers Dolly Parton and Rihanna, and activists Rosa Parks and Greta Thunberg. Other women skilled in math, science, fashion, and more are also featured. Bold illustrations complement the simple text. While this collection is diverse and relevant, there is not an established set of criteria for those selected; there are no references or endpapers for further reading.
